VBR coded video traffic statistics under usage parameter control

Abstract(in English) This paper presents severallong-term traffic patterns at an experimental variable bit rate(VBR)coder output.The coder in based ont he CCITT H.261 standard and built to explore the rate control methods and to clarify the advantages of VBR video coding undern Usage Parameter Control.Leaky Bucket(LB)method was adopted to ensure a long-term mean bit rate.The experimental results with differet LB sizes show that the VBR coding has a potential to reduce and end-to-end delay.
