| Abstract(in English) | A coding control scheme by an adaptive pre-filter for intra- frame coding is proposed.An adaptive pre-filter considering properties of input pictures is quite effective to reduce artifacts such as blocky noise and to improve subjective pirture quality.For intra-frame coding such as in a scene cut,however,new adaptive pre-filter control without inter-frame feed-back scheme is necessary.This paper proposes a pre-filter control technique by refering only a picture frame to achieve the optimum picture quality on the balance of effects both of filtering and quantization,and it also shows the effectiveness of the scheme by computer simulation. |
