Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An advanced video interface is needed for efficiently retrieving and handling enormous amounts of video information. In this study, a video interface based on sound information is proposed. Sound data of a video is analyzed by means of spectrum analysis, and the obtained information is represented graphically in the form of icons on the interface. Using the information as clues to the video content, users can efficiently access meaningful parts of the video and grasp the video's content in a short period of time.
