Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A video sequence, similar to a document, has its hierarchical logical structure consisting of video data elements such as scenes and cuts. When we describe the video sequence according to this structure giving visual effects independent of the data elements, We can improve editing efficiency and achieve reusability of data elements. This structure itself is reusable as a template for generation of other sequences. Another requirement is that the audiovisual representation data should be interchangeable between different multimedia systems. This paper proposes an architecture to meet such requirements and reports implementation of a software which generates time chart data having the MHEG format from the logical structure data.
