Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new coding method "Interactive Command Coding" based on the new image coding paradigm of "Non-realtime Procedure & With Human Interactive Operations". The proposed method allows a human to indicate the semantic structure of moving image sequence through interactive operations. An original image sequence is simplified so that it can be encoded at very low bitrate while preserving what the origical image sequence tells. Encoded data consist of a set of commands. Each command describes attributes of the objects in the simplified image sequence. A non-linear image editing system is also shown as one of the useful applications of the proposed method.
