Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper presents a data compression algorithm for multispectral remote sensing images with perceptually lossless level. The algorithm reduces the spectral and spatial correlations in the images using 3-D DCT.The DCT coefficients with same indexes are collected to form coefficient blocks respectively. The blocks are classified by its average power into five classes and scallar or vector quantized class by class. We present the coding performance of the proposed algorithm using Landsat Thermatic Mapper data. |
