Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important in the investigations of the falling motion of snow particles for the growth during their fall. Suitable equipment, however, to measure the falling motion of snow particles has not yet been developed. In order to study the relationship between the falling motion and the shape of the snow particles, we developed the system that can measure the falling motion and the shape of snow particles simultaneously with a CCD camera and a computer with an image analysis board. There were some relationship between the shape characteristics.
