Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to make multipath propagation models for the next generation mobile communication systems, the propagation paths and their path losses of incoming waves are investigated. The multipath propagation is generated by the waves reflected by buildings in urban areas. This report describes the reflection characteristics of buildings at 2 GHz. The average of the measured reflection patterns of buildings is close to the calculated reflection pattern when the face of the building wall was assumed a smooth surface. The uneven of the building wall expands the width of the reflection pattern, however, the extent of the width is small in the size of the real uneven. Furthermore, the average of the measured reflection patterns in urban areas is close to the pattern that the angular profile formed by the scattering around the mobile site is convoluted into the reflection pattern of the building.
