Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | It is understood that a narrow beam antenna, which is smaller than the base station's sector angle, is effective for increasing the W-CDMA system capacity. As the capacity will increase, we will need to replace antennas with those of narrow beam in horizontal plane. Replacement of antennas becomes necessary and is economically inferior with causing the interruption of the service. To solve these problems, this paper shows installation of metal conductors adjacent to antennas narrows the HPBW by using moment method analysis, and presents the input impedance characteristics measured in the experiments. |
