Fast Initial Weight Computation for Adaptive Antennas

Abstract(in English) This paper presents fast initial weight computation method for adaptive array antennas. In the proposed methaod, a correlation matrix of received signals is computed including received samples before desired signal arrives. The proposed method deacreases required number of known symbols to obtain average SINR within 1 dB of optimum SINR. Furthermore, the combined used of the proposed method and decision feedback MMSE combining method improves the weight convergence significantly, and it enables to converge the weight of 16 antennas using less than 10 known symbols. The proposed method achieves fast convergence of initial weight and decreases the required number of known symbols for weight convergence, which improves the data transmission ratio in a 'frame for wireless communication.
