Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In commercial mobile communication, advanced function is required to promote public enterprise smoothly. So the realization of "multi-rate transmission", which means the alternative or simul taneous transmission of voice and data, is expected. Therefore, we propose a multi-rate transmission system in which voice calls, which have a real-time communication requirement, are given priority over data calls. The data of data calls that yield the communication channel to voice calls is not discarded but stored, and the data call is continued when the voice call has ended. Also we developed software on the existing PBX system and the performance of multi-rate transmission was verified.
