Abstract(in English) The BS digital broadcasting services newly started in Japan last December. The broadband CS digital broadcasting services will start using the same technique next spring. NTT Corporation is developing satellite communication system based on Japanese BS digital transmission technique towards advanced multimedia satellite communication service. It is possible to extend the application domain of the high relative data transmission service which used the satellite communication by combining the carousel transmission system adopted with data-broadcasting service in addition to IP transmission system used with present communication service in this system. In this paper, evaluation about the processing capability of the software which realizes a carousel signal generation function, and a carousel signal / IP signal reception function in satellite communication system based on Japanese BS digital transmission technique is reported.
