Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is expected that the possibilities increase that an earth station is in the vicinity of an airport, since there will be a larger number of VSAT stations and digital audio broadcasting services to mobiles via satellites will be introduced. Therefore, it becomes more important to accurately and efficiently evaluate the impairment of received signal due to aircraft blockage. This paper proposes to develop an aircraft model by a planar polygon representing the aircraft projection and to apply GTD with corner diffraction terms. Then, the effectiveness and applicability is examined numerically. It is demonstrated that the measured results at Ku-band around two airports agree very well with numerical simulations even when the distance between the aircraft and the stations is small.
