Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ecological observations for wild animals have been actively conducted on a world-wide level. The sea turtle has been also the object for the ecological observations as one of the wild animals in the sea. We have studied on the system utilizing the artificial satellites for this observation. This paper describes the study results on an error control scheme to be applied to the observation system. In this system, the high-dimensional ring code is adopted, and we propose a scheme utilizing the error detecting capability as well as the error correcting one to be effective even against the data received with very high bit error rate. Simulated results of the performance of the scheme in terms of the correct data acquiring rate are presented.
