| Abstract(in English) | An onboard packet switch for the mobile satellite communications system has been developed. This onboard packet switch will be installed in the Engineering Test Satellite Eight (ETS-VIII) which is planned to be launched in 2003. The engineering model has already been developed and the system engineering model test for the communication system carried out. This test results show that the onboard packet switch has the enough performance for the severe system requirements. |
