Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the wireless LAN systems operating in the ISM band, the employment of Spread Spectrum (SS) technique is the mandatory requirement to reduce the interference noise to other systems. From this requirement, the transmission rate achieved in the ISM band wireless LAN system is limited to the lower rate. Furthermore, the signal quality of wireless LAN systems operating in indoor environments is severely degraded due to the multi-path fading. This paper proposes the OFDM transmission technique for the ISM band wireless LAN system, which overcomes the above problems. The proposed method enables the realization of high data rate wireless LAN system operating at around 28Mbit/s even under multi-path fading environments.
