Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a high data rate 2.4GHz ISM band wireless LAN system on the basis of SS-OFDM technique. The SS-OFDM technique has recently received considerable attention especially in the fields of wireless LAN systems for its potential capability for the higher data rate communications. However, the SS-OFDM system is unable to achieve a good performance under the multi-path fading environments, because the SS-OFDM signal, which is generated by spectrum spreading to OFDM signal, has no more feature of OFDM signal with robustness to the multi-path fading. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes an SS-OFDM/OFDM method in which the SS-OFDM signal in the frequency domain is converted to the OFDM signal by using second OFDM modulator. This paper presents the computer simulation results to verify the possibility of high data rate wireless LAN system.
