Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses modulation level selection in Software-Based wireless multimedia communiations system which employs slow adaptive modulation. We propose a modulation level selection algorithm taking account of QoS (Quality of Service) for each service, and evaluate the performance by computer simulation. Our simulation results show that the proposed algorithm, which can handle the number of required time slots and transmission power effectively, improves the average delay performance as compared with the conventional one which only attempts to use higher modulation level with higher priority.
