Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes the use of a linear equalizer in the context of iterative (turbo) signal detection for severe Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) channels. It is shown that the proposed scheme requires computational complexity of order L^2 of the channel memory length L. Therefore, the proposed scheme can solve the problem of iterative signal detection that computational complexity increases exponentially to the channel memory length L. The proposed iterative signal detection scheme can be applied to broadband signal transmission that can support high quality mobile communication services. BER performances of the proposed scheme have been evaluated through computer simulations. Results show that the proposed scheme achieves performances almost equivalent to the SOVA equalizer.
