Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Data sent from the ground to a spacecraft for providing directions are called commands. Data showing the status of a spacecraft and data obtained by a spacecraft, which are sent from the spacecraft to the ground, are called telemetry. Technologies concerning telemetry and commands changed greatly in the 1990's. These changes can be considered to be a move toward introducing network technology into spacecraft. This paper describes recent technological developments about telemetry and commands focusing its relationship with network technology, and introduces current study activities on telemetry/command technology in the future.
