Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Range-doppler algorithm is one of the image reconstruction method for the SAR(synthetic aperture radar). In this alogrithm, range migration compensation is necessary because the relative movement between radar platform and target occurs. Especially, in the case of ultra wide band SAR, a compensation error increases in this process and degrades the azimuth resolution and range sidelobe level. In this paper, we describe the mechanism of this degradation, and we introduce a new index to estimate the limitation of range doppler algorithm for image reconstruction.
