Abstract(in English) | In a reduced branch-line coupler with two-step stubs, it is possible for a spurious notch to arise in the frequency responses that are higher than the center frequency. In this paper, we expain the mechanism underlying the occurrence of a spurious notch, and describe a design method that a spurious notch disappears in the frequency responses of a reduced branch-line coupler with two-step stubs. Analysis is performed by the mode decomposition. Availability is proved by experimental circuits. |
