A Phase Shifter Using Meander Lines Loaded High Permittivity Dielectric Plates

Abstract(in English) Considering the structure of the phase shifter using meander lines, we have realized a small phase shifter which has two meander lines and a pair of high permittivity dielectric plates. In this paper, matching method between a microstrip line and a triplate line is described, and using the method a trial model of a oneinput/three-outputs phase shifter was produced at 2GHz band. A small phase shifter whose maximum phase shift is ±130゜, phase error is within ±8゜, insertion loss is less than 0.2dB and input VSWR is less than 1.2 hasbeen obtained. Its characteristics and application is also described.
