Experimental Considerations on a Resonant-Type Leaky-Wave Antenna with Waveguide Feed

Abstract(in English) In General, main beam direction of leaky-wave antennas is not broadside because of the traveling wave type source distribution. An Image NRD guide resonant-type leaky wave antenna, which was previously proposed by the authors, poses a standing wave type source distribution. This feature results in the broadside radiation with low side lobe level and high directivity. In this report, we propose the Image NRD guide resonant-type leaky wave antenna with waveguide feed. Characteristics of the antenna, such as return loss and radiation pattern, are considered through experiments carried at R-band.
