Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Low Earth Orbit(LEO) communication systems are paromising as an imfrastructure for a multimedia core network in the next generation. This paper proposed an integrated LEO communication system with a terrestrial core network using Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM) and presents a routing method to achieve efficient traffic control in this system. Computer simulation shows that this routing method can significantly reduce the frequency of ATM connection handovers which are unavoidable in an LEO communication system using ATM, and achieve reduction of peak traffic and dispersion of traffic load.
