Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, the performance of code-diversity DS / CDMA system over multipath fading channels is evaluated. In a code-diversity system, the data signal is modulated with several sequences, and using these sequences at the receiver, diversity reception of the signal will be perfomed. Computer simulation results show that the performance of code-diversity system improves that of the conventional system significantly, specially under a near-far problem. The performance of the system with RAKE reception over a 2-path Rayleigh fading channel is also evaluated. In this system, fading is assumed to be considerably slow to enable the estimation of its amplitude and phase variations, so as to make the computation of the most approriate branch weights possible.
