Abstract(in English) This paper presents study on the ETS-VIII onboard mission system with phased-array-fed reflector antennas for satellite mobile communications and broadcasting. To make clear level diagrams of the system, modeling of a general phased-array feed with different receiving power levela at feed element ports was studied and a specific model for receiving was figured out, in which only one equivalent feed is substituted for multiple feed elements. This modeling has advantages in defining operational situations of both each component and the system, and was verified in the ETS-VIII system test using onboard hardware.
