Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Space-division-multiple-access(SDMA) is a promising candidate to improve channel capacity in future wireless communication systems. Since the discrimination performance of the user in the spatial domain depends on the array arrangement, an appropriate element arrangement for SDMA should be defined. This paper proposes an equation to determine an appropriate element arrangement of smart antennas for SDMA systems. The equation is based on a spatial correlation. And then, the dependency of the output SINR performance on element arrangements are evaluated by computer simulations. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the derived equation for designing element arrangement of the smart antennas employing SDMA systems.
