Abstract(in English)	The development and standardization of International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000) are currently in progress aiming at starting services at the beginning of 21^ century. IMT-2000 is the third generation mobile system of which the main target is to realize mobile multimedia services. ITU and other regional/national standardization organizations are now actively contributing to the activities. In this presentation, the trend of IMT-2000 standardization will be introduced. In addition, the current status and the future trends in the development of W-CDMA, which is highly recognized as one of the radio access systems for IMT-2000, will be also explained.
