Correction of Foreshortening for Terrain Elevation Retrieval by InSAR

Abstract(in English) The high-resolution topographical map in the wide area is useful in the various fields. InSAR which uses two SAR images has a lot of advantages in retrieving the terrain elevation. It is desirable to reduce the number of residues before phase unwrapping to improve the accuracy of terrain elevation. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm of retrieving the elevation by which the foreshortening is corrected before phase unwrapping in order to eliminate residues caused by foreshortening. We confirmed the validity of our argorism by simulation and by experiments using SAR data.
