Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A simulation and an analysis of the data to be obtained when the L-band Interferometoric SAR(InSAR) observes the snowpack with layered structure were carried out. The results of analysis show that the influence of scattering from the boundaries of the snow layer is smaller than that of the ground, and the InSAR, using L-band frequency, is effective for measuring snow depth. Furthermore, it is shown that visualization of the spatial distribution of snow depth is possible by use of interference fringes.
