Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes development of an Onboard Processor for mobile communications which use handheld terminals. At biginning of development we asume 2-ton geostationary satellites MC-TDMA multiple access method, base-band switching, traffic deviation, exchange with regeneration in order to minimize mobile terminals, and large channel capacity. To satisfy these requirements the minimize size, weight, power consmption, we used the polyphase FFT method for demultiplexers, use the reverse modulation method for carrier recovery circuits, and many kinds ASICs. This OBP can realise capacity up to over 500 channels within 5MHz frequency band of 5.6kbps voicehannel. The OBP is under development and will be veryfied at 2002 on Japanese Engineering Test Satellite VIII.
