Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Adaptive array antenna(AAA) or adaptive array diversity which can reduce co-channel interference and multipath distortion is well studied for radio communication systems. For mobile radio systems, the weight of each array element/branch are commonly determined by MMSE(Minimum Mean Square Error) criterion. Among the iterative adaptive algorithms, RLS has fast converging performance. However, it requires a lot of operation. This report proposes, as the adaptive algorithm for AAA, a variable step size LMS algorithm which can be implemented with as little operation as the conventional LMS. Computer simulation results shows that the proposed algorithm has good convergence behaviour.
