Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, demands for low cost and high bit rate satellite communication network infrastructures are rapidly increasing by the expansion of worldwide computer network etc. This paper deals with the satellite communication network with combination with GSO satellite system and medium or low earth orbits(MEO or LEO)satellite system for ultra high bit rate data, telephone and video information transmissions. By using the proposed network, high bit rate(about 200 Mb/s~1.2Gb/s)information transmission can be achieved with small earth terminals e.g., 0.5 meters diameter earth-station antennas and 0.5~10.0 watts earth-station transmitter output powers. To increasa the network communication capacity, the optical-fiber geostationary tether satellite(F-GTS)system concept is introduced and total capacity can be increased.
