| Abstract(in English) | Recently, some multimedia networks with using satellite communication are getting in service in Japan. NTT also developed a Multimedia Interactive Satellite Communication System providing the economical high speed mutimedia networka combining the satellite channels and terrestrial channels. This system emploies the ATM cell multiplex scheme within a satellite section. Therefore a satellite adapter should be required to select the desired packets from the satellite circuits. This paper describes a study of developing a PC Card type satellite adapter with tunner unit to make user station cheaper. |
