An evaluation of Reliable Multicast Scheme for Multimedia Interactive Satellite Communications System

Abstract(in English) This study aims at establishing the reliable multicast data transmission scheme applied to sending information to the huge number of the clients via multimedia satellite communications. The proposed schemes was evaluated with experiments, simulation and theoretical calculation considering the following criteria;1)Efficient use of the network, 2)Ratio of the data transmission accomplishment, 3)Congestion of the re-transmission requests at the network communication center, 4)Efficiency of multicast re-transmission. Then, clarified that the "GSSR"is the most promisimg scheme. Finally, "GSSR"is examined nuder the inhomogeneous error condition simulating the practical use, and confirmed the feasibility.
