Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a novel spread spectrum demodulator employing digital matched filters for random access satellite communications. To enhance the S/N of matched-pulses, the proposed demodulator simultaneously employs recursive integrators before and after envelope detection. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed demodulator lowers the matched-pulse miss-detection probability to under 10^<-10> at Eb/No of -1dB with the detection period of 50 symbols. A novel carrier frequency synchronization scheme that utilizes the supply link signal as a reference in both terminals and the center earth station is also proposed. Theoretical analysis shows that the proposed scheme significantly reduces carrier frequency errors in random access signals.
