Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Expansion of satellite communication business is expected as a consequence of introducing various new services. To accelerate this expansion, miniaturizing VSATs is a very effective means. Small antennas enable VSATs to be further minimized. This paper discusses difficulties associated with small antennas and shows various radiation patterns for suitable flat antennas at Ku-band. This paper shows the following :(1)high-efficiency-type flat antennas are proper for smaller VSATs, (2)the carrier-to-interference ratio due to another satellite is given by the equation(C/l=36-20logθ(dB)).
