Aquisition of Depth Information and Interpolation Using a Multi- Viewpoint Image Set

Abstract(in English) We propose a new acquisition and error correction scheme of depth information using images.In the proposed scheme,the image is segmented into regions and the value of the depth is calculated for each segmented region using the Multiple-Baseline Stereo.By using the depth information and considering the occlusion areas, projected images are generated from various view points.The error of depth information is detected and corrected by comparing the image reproduced by the projection with the original image.
