Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the future land mobile communications satellite system using a geostationary platform,a 10m to 30m diameter satellite antenna is desirable for handy terminal communications. The satellite antenna should have contiguous multibeams having a high crossover gain.and low sidelobe. An overtapping aperture cluster feed was applied for this system and high efficiency feed concept is introduced. Moreover,SCR has developed two types of reflector structure named Hexa-Link Truss and Tetra Trigonal Prism Truss.1, 5 and 1/17.5 scale models were manufactured respectively for the development tests. The measured electrical and mechanical performances agreed well with the calculated results. The prospect for practical use of these reflectors can be deduced from these performances.
