Abstract(in English) This paper presents a fully digital high speed QPSK, OQPSK burst modem VLSICs.The implemented modem VLSICs eliminate analog devices such as mixers,phase-shifters and a VCO for clock recovery.This significantly helps in realizing radio units that are compact, economical,and maintenance-free.Moreover,the developed demodulator VLSIC achieves fast carrier and bit-timing synchronization with preamble words less than 100 symbols in low Eb/No environments by employing a new carrier recovery scheme and bit-timing recovery scheme.Results of performance evaluation performed on the developed VLSICs show that the developed modem VLSICs performs well with 60Mb/s TDMA systems.
