Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discribes a processor-firmware based ATM, Frame Relay interface.Functions which cause performance degradation of frame/ cell handling were studied.Hardware implementation of some functions(HDLC,connection ID translation,CRC code generation at ATM adaptation layer, etc.)can achieve an ATM/Frame Relay interface of several Mbps throughput. One of the heaviest functions is generation of CRC code at AAL.For this function we propose a method that CRC code is calculated per cell with a CRC-circuit.
