Performance Analysis of ATM Multiplexer with Bursty Traffic : A Dynamic Cell Schedutlng Scheme and its Analysis

Abstract(in English) In this paper,we propose a dynamic service scheme for the cell service scheduling and present a new method in the analysis of the performance of ATM Multiplexer with bursty traffic.With respect to the system model,we assume a multi-queue single-server with multiple time slots.In the analysis of the system model,we employ the sojourn time analysis,from which we draw out several performance measures of the multiplexer.The analysis is carried out under the discrete-time queueing system model.From the result of the analysis we extract and calculate major performance measures such as mean sojourn time in overflow region,the cell loss probability,the discard probability of low priority cell and the mean waiting time of the queues.
