Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Characteristic of a cross-product frequency discriminator on QPSK signal is analyzed in a system model employing Butterworth filter bandlimitation. The shape of power spectral density for random component at discriminator output is obtained.Variance of frequency fluctuation is calculated and discussed in an AFC loop using the discriminator. The variance decreases,as order of Butterworth filter increases. QPSK and π, 4QPSK have the same value and OQPSK has a larger one t han others. The variance due to nxn is larger and the variance due to sxs is smaller than the variance in roll-off system.Butterwoth system is preferable in high signal to noise ratio.
