Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Phase jitter at the output of carrier recovery circuit using 4-th power device is theoretically analized. An exact, representation of autocorrelation function of the output phase variation is obtained assuming a M^2QAM signal of an arbitary waveform and corrupted with bandlimited Gaussian noise at the input of 4-th power device. Rms phase jitter of the recovered carrier is obtained. As an example of bandlimitation, rms phase jitter is calculated in case of a root Nyquist bandlimitation scheme. The rms phase jitter decreases as SNR and/or roll-off factor increase, and increases as M increases.
