Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Solar Power Station (SPS) is a giant power station on geostationary orbit. The energy will be generated by gigantic solar cell panels or a solar heat generator in space and transmitted by microwave from the SPS to a rectenna on the ground. In 1994, we carried out a ground-to-ground microwave power transmission experiment. A rectenna array which we developed is composed of 256 rectenna sub-arrays. With the rectenna array, we studied dependence of the output, DC power of the rectenna array on the spacial configuration of the rectenna sub-arrays. We also investigated the output DC power variation of the rectenna against the change the electrical connection of the rectenna sub-arrays. |
