Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Effects of substrate thickness on the properties of a single slot antenna are investigated experimentally in order to obtain the optimum thickness of the planner dielectric substrate in the 94 GHz millimeter wave region. The properties of fabricated antenna on fused quartz agree with the theory and the antenna on the substrate of which thickness is odd multiples of a quarter dielectric wavelength has the power gain 16 dB higher than that of the antenna on the substrate with even multiples of a quarter dielectric wavelength.
