Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A trellis coded modulation with expanded signal set by four times and with less constraint length is proposed for trellis-coded co-channel interferece canceller (TCC). The reduction of the constraint length of trellis-coded modulation is shown to contribute to reduce the total amount of computation required for TCC, whereas the expanded signal set is shown effective to compensate for the degradation of cancelling performance. Computer simulation results show that the total amount of computation required for TCC can be reduced without degrading the cancelling performance with the proposed method. In addition, application of M-algorithm to the proposed method is proved to be effective to further reduce the computation time.
