Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper shows a result of an experiment on TCP/IP connection applied to the digital mobile packet communication system, using a packet channel simulator. The PPP (Point to Point Protocol) is used as a datalink layer protocol and the mobile system entity converts it into a pay-load frame of a radio LAP (link access protocol). The ICMA/PE (Idle-signal Casting Multiple Access with Partial Echo) is applied to a random access control method for uplink channels. At first, the throughput when using a single slot with and without radio LAP are shown. Next, a method of multi-slot multi-link access, where one to three slots are assigned according to demands from each user, is described. At last, its throughput and effectiveness are shown.
