Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) has been receiving a lot of attention as a radio access method of the next generation telecommunications system. Since CDMA capacity is interference limited, the connection admission control must guarantee both the predetermined communication quality and the blocking rate. In this report, the outage probability of the communication quality, which is derived from traffic theory point of view, and a capacity design procedure which guarantees both the communication quality and the blocking rate are proposed. In this study base stations reject a new call if the number of communicating users is equal to the predetermined number N. The result from computer simulations shows that the proposed procedure is appropriate for the capacity design of cellular CDMA systems.
